Joan Romeo has been a public relations and promotions professional her entire career. As director of Client Services for the Pearlman Group, Inc. in Los Angeles, she served company clients like Air New Zealand, Lamps Plus, and General Motors Buick Motor Division.

As Vice President of the firm, she worked with clients that included the Chevrolet Motor Division, Sterling Vineyards, Ticketmaster, WIBC and the Permanent Charities Committee for the Entertainment Industry based in Hollywood.

After leaving The Pearlman Group, she started her own company, The Marketing Team. Having two daughters who are professional bowlers, Robin and Tori, she concentrated on the Bowling Industry.  Her clients have included USA Bowling and FIQ, CWBA, Master Industries, Twelve Strike and is bowling consultant to the Eldorado Hotel and Casino in Reno, Nev.

Joan's marketing efforts have also included creating and producing tournaments; The FIQ International Senior Open and charitable events that used professional bowling and tennis as a catalyst to raise money.

Romeo is currently president of the California Bowling Writers, a member of the BPAA International Strategies Committee; and recently served on the 50 Years of Women’s Pro Bowling Exhibit Committee for the International Bowling Museum and Hall of Fame. She also serves on the IBMHF Hall of Fame Tournament Committee.

Joan has received many awards during her distinguished career including the BWAA Meritorious Service Award, the Columbia 300 Humanitarian Award, the CWBA Distinguished Service Award and the BWAA President’s Award
