Once again BPAA is offering free Bowl Expo registration to BWAA members. As in the past, the basic registration fee is waived for industry or       non-industry working Media/Press who meet the guidelines below. However, if you or your colleagues wish to participate or attend any of the other special events, normal applicable fees will apply. In order to better serve you and organize Media/Press Credentials for IBE 10, please make note of the following guideline, which includes a policy change from the past year.
1.        A written request for media/press credentials must be sent to BPAA via mail, fax at (817) 633-61219 or e-mail at ron@bpaa.comMedia representatives would be defined as those who are employed by a bowling or non-bowling related publication, a regular BWAA member, is broadcast electronically or has been published within the past twelve (12) months. A copy of your media employment credentials (business card, badge, etc.) or a copy of your most recent published article/column must accompany your written request. Each request must be approved through BPAA headquarters. The credential process is waived for BWAA board members and Life Members. BWAA members who are BPAA proprietors, general managers or center staff do not qualify for the free registration offer.
2.       Upon approval, you will be sent a Media/Press Registration Form to complete and fax or mail back to BPAA. For multiple registrations, feel free to make copies and use them separately. However, each publication is allowed a maximum of three (3) press credentials. (Media/Press registrants are asked to NOT USE the Bowl Expo online registration system). If your spouse attends Bowl Expo events, note there is a charge ($89). Also, BWAA members are required to pay to attend the International Bowling Museum “Salute To Bowling” (Special $50 fee). Tickets for Club Xpo presents Jersey Boys are $99 with full registration ($139 w/o).
If your company/publication is also an IBE exhibitor we still need your ‘Press’ registration form returned. Simply indicate that you
have registered as an exhibitor. This will avoid duplication in the registration system.
Bowling Writers Association of America (BWAA) will have a booth on the trade show floor. Contact Jim Goodwin at jgoodwinbowling@sbcglobal.net to volunteer a couple hours at the booth. Visit www.bowlexpo.com for updated Expo information.
