Hazel McLeary, Victoria, British Columbia, was appointed to represent the National Women Bowling Writers on the board of directors when they merged with BWAA in 2006. She had been a board member of the original BWAA for many years. She became president of the new group on January 1, 2007.
McLeary serves as Communications Director and Public Relations Coordinator for the Canadian Tenpin Federation and has been filing national and international competition stories to the Canadian Press since 1975.
She is editor of the CTF Connection newsletter.
A member of several bowling halls of fame, she was inducted into the Greater Victoria Sports Hall of Fame in 2004.
